Birdie Bread

Avian Naturals Birdie Bread

Creating a simplistic Birdie Bread recipe was harder than expected.  This is a bread that is a bit more crumblier compared to flour-based breads.  It was meant to be quick and easy; add water, mix and bake.  We have some suggestions below if you really want to get creative.  We are excited to bring a new mix to offer your birds a nutritious healthy snack.  We hope your feathered friends love it as much as ours do!

Directions:
Depending on how many birds you are feeding, take an amount of mix you would like to use and add half of that amount of equal water to the mix.  Let it sit there for a few minutes to hydrate veggies in the mix.  The ingredients will soak up the water. Add more water if needed to have the consistency of a muffin/pound bread mix.  Baking time will vary depending how much you use.  Grease an appropriate small bread or muffin tin and fill half full.  Bake at 350 degrees until it becomes knife clean when inserted in the center.  This could take around 20 minutes, or less, depending on the size.  Once done let it sit for a few minutes to firm up a little more.

You can get creative with this mix.

If you want to make this bread firmer add a little flour to the mix.
You can also use apple sauce instead of water.
Other options are blending up a banana as part of your mix.
There are also other fresh ingredients you might have in your fridge you can add in!
Our Herbal Supreme Mix can be added to the mix!
Test and see what works for you.
